DOT4Kids will be hosting a nationwide Web Design Workshop in partnership with Shooting Stars Foundation and EAH Housing. Kids will learn the basics of HTML and how build a website for their community.
DOT4Kids hosted JavaScript Workshop at Tumwater Middle School computer class. Kids learnt the basics of JavaScript and learnt to build a guessing game.
On popular demand, DOT4Kids hosted its Rubik’s cube workshop virtually. Kids from India and other countries joined the Rubik’s workshop and learned how to solve 3 by 3 and 2 by 2 Rubik’s cube.
DOT4Kids successfully partnered with Thurston County Expand Your Horizons for the third successful year and hosted 2 by 2 Rubik’s cube workshop. Additionally, DOT4Kids sponsored 50 Rubik’s cube to the girls attending the conference
DOT4Kids hosted it second JavaScript – Build a guessing game workshop partnering with Tumwater Middle School . Students from robotics class enjoyed making the guessing game using their chrome book.
DOT4Kids hosted its first JavaScript Workshop in partnership with Big Brothers and Big Sisters! Students learned the basics of Javascript and built their own web guessing game.
DOT4Kids ran a Rubik’s cube workshop with Chinook Middle School’s Together! Club house. A big thank you to the Community Foundation of South Sound who sponsored us with Rubik’s cubes for this event.

Successful scratch workshops in Aspire Middle School. Kids learned how to do Maze game and were excited to do the scratch programming. Thanks to Aspire Middle School teacher Ms.Ramsfield to make this happen!
It was fun filled workshop with HTML/CSS basics and web page development.Girls learned to use HTML to create engaging web pages with text, video, and photos. They also learned to use CSS to style web page with colors, backgrounds, font sizes, layout, and more.

We have successfully completed our second session on Mobile Development and Entrepreneurship Camp. Girls learnt how to make apps and they made their own social app and competed on the pitch day. They also learnt how to present and market their app to the panel judges. We had judges from Olympia High School and Girl Scouts of Western Washington.

DOT4Kids hosted its first Scratch workshop with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Kids learned the basics of Scratch and the basic maze game.
DOT4Kids hosted its HTML workshop with Chinook Middle School students. Middle school kids learnt to use HTML tags and built their own website
DOT4Kids hosted its first HTML workshop in partnership with Girls Scouts of Western Washington at the Dupont Center . Girls learnt the basics tags of HTML like HTML, Heading, Paragraph, Image, Table, Break, Horizon line, Anchor. They also learnt to change the background color, font, font-family, text-decoration, classes, div id, width, height in CSS. During the second half of the session, girls were excited to make their own website using the basic HTML tags and CSS tags.
Second session to learn the Scratch Maze Game was hosted in Nisqually Middle School after school program. Both boys and girls attended the program and kids were excited to do Maze game to completion.

Dot4Kids MIT APP Inventor workshop was a bang! Kids enjoyed making TalkToMe App, Hello Purr App and Business App.30+ kids attended the workshop and were thrilled to use their programming skills. These kids completed the prerequisites Scratch Workshop before attending this workshop. They learnt how to make use google maps in android using Map Activity, Use the Phone Call Activity to make phone call from the business app and the web activity to connect to the web browser. They also used the Accelerometer sensor in the “TalkToMe” App.Kids will be using these skills to do their app in the App Pitch Event in 2019.
30 students attended as DOT4Kids completed its second Scratch workshop! Attendees excitedly coded a variety of games and left with digital birthday cards and maze games they completed.
